Dr. Maria Shervy Monica J. Villareal

Dr. Shervy Villareal is the Villareal Dental Clinic, Inc.’s Specialist in Periodontology and Corporate Secretary. Having successfully accomplished a 1 year Advanced International Program in Periodontology in New York University’s Ashman Department of Periodontology and Implant Dentistry, she continues to embark on further deepening her knowledge and sharpening her skills in Periodontology by being accepted as the only Filipina, and as one among 7 Americans chosen from a thousand applicants to be undergoing the 3 years U.S. Post Graduate Training in Periodontology in New York University. She has also successfully passed the U.S. Dental Licensure Examinations 1 and 2.

Dr. Shervy carries the same passion for the profession as her father and siblings as she too had left a shiny trail in academics and clinical dentistry. A product of the University of the East ‘s College of Dentistry, she ranked 11th place in the December 2002 Philippine Dental Board Examination. Dr. Shervy is an active member of the Philippine College of Oral Maxillo – Facial Surgeons. She has attended various local and international seminars, namely UCLA Endodontic Seminar, Orthognatic Surgery, Cleft lip and Palate, Pre – Prosthetic Surgery given by the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon in Bangkok, Thailand, Management of Dental Emergencies and updates in local anesthesia, etc.

Currently, Dr. Shervy is completing her 3 years U.S. Post Graduate Residency in Periodontology in the New York University, New York, New York, USA, and is Clinical Professor in Periodontology for undergraduates. She will soon be returning to the Philippines to join her family and contributing another laurel to her family’s dental practice.
