Dr. Hermogenes P. Villareal, a well known and multi-awarded dentist from the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), Philippine Dental Association (PDA) and numerous sociocivic organizations was unanimously elected as President of the Asia Pacific Dental Federation (APDF) composed of 28-member nations of ther recently concluded 32nd Asia Pacific Dental Congress (APDC) held in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Started by the show "Up Close and Personal," hosted by the lovely Marissa del Mar, the awards night is also a celebration of the show's eighth year.

A Salute to the Philippine Dental Association's Outstandig Dentists of the Century
Organized dentistry in the Philippines has gone a long way. Its historic beginnings started in 1908, when the Sociedad Dental de Filipinas came into being with Dr. Bonifacio Arevalo as its charter president.

ICOI WORLD NEWS, September 2008
Last June the ICOI welcomed a new Affiliate in the Philippines, the Philippine Academy of Implant Dentistry (PAID). Dr. Hermogenes Villareal is the director of the ICOI Philippine Section. This society of the 125 members (some existing ICOI members, but many new members) have joined the ICOI. We are delighted with this growth in the Philippines.
