Dr. Hermogenes Pedro Villareal, chairman of the Pierre Fauchard Academy (Philippine Section) and chairman of the department of Dental Medicine of the Asian Hospital and Medical Center was named by the Philippine Dental Association (PDA) as one of the outstanding dentists of the century during the centennial celebration of Organized Dentistry in the Philippines.

A Salute to the Philippine Dental Association's Outstandig Dentists of the Century
Organized dentistry in the Philippines has gone a long way. Its historic beginnings started in 1908, when the Sociedad Dental de Filipinas came into being with Dr. Bonifacio Arevalo as its charter president.

The Philippines
Last June the ICOI welcomed a new Affiliate in the Philippines, the Philippine Academy of Implant Dentistry (PAID). Dr. Hermogenes Villareal is the director of the ICOI Philippine Section. This society of the 125 members (some existing ICOI members, but many new members) have joined the ICOI. We are delighted with this growth in the Philippines.
