Dr. Hermogenes P. Villareal, President, Asia Pacific Dental Federation / Asia Pacific Regional Organization will be leaving for Mexico to attend the FDI Annual World Dental Congress on September 10, 2011. Dr. Villareal will be joined by Dr. Robert Tajonera, PDA President, Dr. Diampo J. Lim, Past President of the APDF/APRO and Dr. Primo Gonzales, Past President of the APDF/APRO.
The Phillipine Dental Association is a member of the FDI World Dental Federation through its regional arm, the Asia Pacific Dental Federation / Asia Pacific Regional Organization. Among its objectives are to be the worldwide, authoritative and independent voice of the dental profession and to promote optimal oral and general health for all people. The President of the PDA, Dr. Roberto M. Tajonera will be the Chief Delegate along with Drs. Lim and Gonzales as alternate delegates. This will also be the opportunity for the Philippine Dental Association to ink a Friendship Alliance Memorandum of Understanding with the Malaysian Dental Association.
Dr. Villareal will welcome the officers and council members of the APDF/APRO and the presidents of the 27 member-nations and will be presiding two important meetings of the council and delegates meetings and will be joining the FDI Officers during the two days General Assembly. He is also invited as guest speaker of the FDI/APDF/APRO / Hong Kong Dental Association luncheon party.
One of the Dr. Villareal’s objective in attending the FDI Congress is to personally thank the APDF/APRO/FDI Officers and the Presidents of the 27 member nations for the successful 33RD APDC in Manila last May 1 – 6, 2011. He will also discuss important matters in the council and delegates meetings such as; the application for membership of the Korean Dental Association and Solomon Island Dental Association, future schedule of the Asia Pacific Dental Congresses: 34th APDC in Taiwan; 35th APDC in Malaysia; 36th APDC in Dubai; 37th APDC in India.
