The International College of Dentists, Inc. (ICD) has conferred Fellow Hermogenes P. Villareal, a well-known and multi-awarded dentist the title of Master Fellow during its 46th ICD Annual Convocation and Banquet held January 29, 2013 at the New World Hotel.
The title of Master of the ICD (MICD) Distinction is granted rarely only to Fellows who have rendered conspicuous service to the Section and College, and stood out through their personal integrity and eminence in their work.
Villareal, who has been in the rank of Active Fellow for more than two decades, was recommended by the college because of his outstanding achievements as a professional and in his personal capacity.
He joined the ranks of the ICD Philippine Section, Inc., ten Master Fellows, seven of them still living on record from the College at Large.
Villareal was also merited, among others, the construction of deep wells in a public schools in Indang, Cavite.
It was noted that there were many nominations for Master Fellow and only six made it to the list:one each from Japan, Canada, India, two in South America and one from the Philippines, Master Fellow Villareal, in the Annual Executive Council Meeting held in October last year in San Francisco, California.
